My boyfriend and I keep argue about why I’m not ready to marry yet. It is not only I’m still in the collage. But it also I never hold a my $1000 yet.
What?? Money?
My boyfriend said, his sister got marry even they are not have a big amount wage. But the still marry and alive till now. Same as other people, they even doesn’t have any job either but they are marry and still alive.
Well, today I’d love to answer my boyfriend question in his blog. He ask about “Ada Apa Dengan mu wanita?”. And he also mention wanita is women who are have their visionary and more realistic.
Let us see what actually the realistic women think about!!
This is also for my boyfriend to think why I need to have a job before we decide to marry. We need to count amount we earn and amount we spend per month, how much we can save for our wedding and for our lifestyle.
When I get married later, I really want to have a good financial for myself, my husband and my kiddos. And I can live as lifestyle I want.
He is correct about money. It is not bout amount of the money, but it is about the way your life style you live in.
My boyfriend and I have seven years between our age. So he is nearly 30 now. In Bali it already enough age to get marry. But in my side I’m just 21 which is I’m just nearly graduation. So I don’t have my financial yet.
My boyfriend works as a teacher, but as a contract teacher which is got paid only minimum wage is about two million a month. Well if I also work in the hotel where I also will got minimum wage about two million. Is it enough amount for us to life a month??
Let us see how much will I spend a month.
If I work in Ubud. Where about 30 minutes from my house, and it will cost one liter petrol for return a day. The petrol cost is IDR6,550/liter, and work six days a week. So 26 x 6,550 = IDR170,300 per month. Service for the motorbike is about IDR100,000/month. So only for transportation I spend IDR270,300/month.
Let us see how much I spend for dinner. If I don’t cook at all. I need money to have breakfast, dinner and four days lunch, because we already have lunch at Hotel. Well for breakfast budget about IDR10,000/day include a water it will cost IDR300,000 a month.
My favorite dinner is Ayam Lalapan. That is fried chicken, with raw vegetable on the side and rice. It normally cost IDR25,000/day include ice tea. So it will be cost IDR750,000. And four days lunch may be will be cost IDR40,000. Totally for dinner we spend:
IDR300,000+IDR750,000+IDR40,000=IDR1,090,000
As a woman, I also want to take my time to SPA or beauty care at least once a month let we say the treatment for the hair to toe is cost IDR300,000. And for daily like soap bar and shampoo, body lotion and soon let say it cost IDR150,000 a month. So for daily beauty and monthly it cost:
IDR300,000+IDR150,000=IDR450,000
Well, the cost above only for the basic needed of women. Without hang out to the bar or beach club or just watching a movie. Totally it cost :
IDR270,300+IDR1,090,000+IDR450,000=IDR1,810,300
Then IDR2,000,000-IDR1,810,300=IDR189,700.
That is amount you can save at the end of the month.

is anything left behind?? WELL MY PULSA! The credit for the internet and the mobile phone. #sh*t I almost forget. Normally I bought IDR150,000 per two weeks. Can be per a month it’s depend how often I use my internet data. Let us say I put a budget for my credit about IDR150,000/month. So I still have IDR39,700.
In Bali we also have daily offering and monthly offering. In my cash left, it will be not enough money for it. It will cost:
Canang Sari 50pcs = IDR10,000/day
Flower for offering = IDR2000/day
Cookies or candy = IDR1000/day
Monthly offering will be cost:
Fruits = IDR50,000
Oh I almost forget the other things. In Bali we live as communal, we help each other and we also have the policies that we need to follow after we get marry.
When there are funeral at our community, we have collecting money to give to the family belong. And the amount normally IDR25,000 per person, with 2kg rice, 2pcs coconuts, and soon.
When there are wedding at our community, we also do the same thing. Just we change the money become a coffee or sugar. And coconut become coconut oil. It also depend the policy.
Can you imagine how realistic women will leave you??
I guarantee you cannot make a wedding as your bride’s dream. Your bride’s will run away an hour before the wedding or they will leave you before you ever said you want to marry her.
WELL, not as worse as I said.

If we talk about wedding, it’s not just about the ceremony. We also need to think about the responsibility that will we take after marry. When you held the wedding party, you also need to have a budget. And when I couldn’t save my money, when I can have my wedding?
Okay, how about if we already have a kiddos?? Where you get the money to buy a diapers or milk formula and the clothes for the kiddos??how if they growth and become a school kid and you need to save more money so your kiddos can have their subject book or a toys or a bicycle for the ride go to school or a time for picnic or do some recreation with your little one?
I don’t want to frustrated you anymore cause I believe I’d live with a man that fully responsible for my comfortable future, and he is You..
